Middle Grade Programs
Junior Achievement middle school programs build on principles from the elementary school programs, to help students recognize education as a key to success. The importance of education and staying in school, is stressed, while introducing students to more in-depth economic concepts and the world of work.
We offer three volunteer delivery methods for JA middle grade programs:
- JA in a Day – Volunteer(s) delivers a full grade program to with students during one marathon, full-day classroom visit.
- JA Weekly – Volunteer(s) deliver each program lesson once a week in 5-6 visits lasting 30 minutes each (K-2nd grades) or 45 minutes each (3rd-5th grades). Visits take place during school hours.
- JA at Work – Volunteer(s) host students at their company or organization for career exploration and college preparation field trip such as JA Job Shadow or a Youth Leadership Conference.
