YOU CAN PLAY A CRITICAL PART IN JA NEW YORK'S SUCCESS

The businesses we partner with provide us with the volunteers, funding, and resources to run our programs. With the help of our business volunteers who serve as role models and bring their real-life experiences to the classroom, JA New York opens up a world of life's possibilities for our students.

  • Your company can also adopt a school through JA New York's School Partnership Program.

A TWO-WAY PARTNERSHIP: PARTNERING WITH JA MAKES GOOD BUSINESS SENSE

JA New York is an opportunity for your company and your staff to give back to the New York City and Long Island communities, while increasing morale within your organization and building teamwork skills.

Sharpening employee skills

According to a survey by McKinsey & Co, volunteers report significant enhancement to skills they can bring back to the company, including public speaking, presentation skills, time management, team building, and leadership.

Corporate Reputation Management / Social Responsibility

Your greatest asset is your "good name" or reputation. This is especially true in knowledge-based environment. As a successful business, you work actively to build a good reputation, and a "bank of goodwill," with your external and internal stake holders.

Although reputation is an intangible concept, research shows that a good reputation demonstrably increases corporate worth and provides sustained competitive advantage. A business can achieve its objectives more easily if it has a good reputation among its stakeholders, especially key stakeholders such as its customers, opinion leaders in the business community, suppliers and current and potential employees.

The main benefits of a good corporate reputation can be found in:

  • Customer preference in doing business with you when other companies' products and services are available at a similar cost and quality;
  • Your ability to charge a premium for products and services;
  • Stakeholder support for your organization in times of controversy;
  • Your organization's value in the financial marketplace.

If your organization is well regarded by your target customers, they will prefer to deal with you ahead of others.

Partnering with JA New York programs can create favorable awareness and raise positive visibility for your company. Coverage of your company volunteer efforts build and reinforce positive brand awareness in the New York City and Long Island communities.

"Over the years I have worked with four employees who were involved with JA New York and have witnessed a marked difference in their ability and self-confidence to run meetings. JA was great practice for their promotions when the need for public speaking is greater."
