TCS NYC Marathon

TCS NYC Marathon Charity Partner

JA New York is an official charity partner for the 2017 TCS New York City Marathon. This iconic race brings 55,000 runners to the heart of New York City every year for a 26.2-mile tour of the city. We’re recruiting an inspiring team of runners to help us raise much needed funds to benefit the students of NYC, Long Island and the Lower Hudson Valley.

There are Two Ways to Join Team JA New York

Official Runners**

We guarantee your spot in the race, pay for your entry fees, and offer more perks. You commit to fundraising at least $2,500.

What does my donation provide? JA New York gratefully accepts donations of any size. The levels below give you an idea of what it costs to provide Junior Achievement programming to students free of charge.

What Your Donation Provides

  • $1,000 – Achievement is priceless, but if we were to put a value on it, your gift of $1,000 will recruit, train and place a volunteer in a classroom, pay for the curriculum materials and staff support, and fund the costs of measuring impact.
  • $350 – High School Heroes are JA New York’s youth volunteer corps, delivering JA programming to our hard-to-reach outer borough communities and serving as powerful role models for young children. They exemplify the importance of staying in school, civic involvement, and community engagement. Be a material provider to a JA New York High School Hero student by underwriting the costs of their program materials, transportation, and training.
  • $250 – Your involvement will recruit, train and support a corporate or community volunteer to teach students how to navigate successfully through school and life.
  • $100 – Purchase a JA Program Kit for a NYC, Long Island or Lower Hudson Valley classroom. One kit – in the form of a nifty little briefcase – provides interactive lesson plans and engaging teaching materials for one classroom of 24 to 32 students.
  • $50 – Help a student discover their career path with a JA Job Shadow experience. Through a one-day, on-site orientation, a local student will receive an authentic work experience.
